"A perfect blend of experience and fresh ideas!"
I'm a student majoring in Global development studies as well as a childcare nanny from Matinkylä, Espoo. I'm passionate about global issues and politics at both the UN and local levels. With over five years of experience in municipal politics through party involvement and the Espoo Youth Council, I was the youngest candidate in the 2022 regional elections. Currently, I serve on Espoo's Cultural Committee and as a deputy member of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Area's Preparedness and Security Committee. I also hold leadership roles with the Social Democratic Youth. Voting for me means choosing a blend of experience and fresh ideas.

Solidarity and equality are the core of my politics. I am deeply concerned about government decisions that increase income inequality and unfairly blame vulnerable individuals for their struggles. Society's resources must be directed to those in need, preventing a two-tier citizenship and ensuring everyone can contribute. Cutting support for the disadvantaged is morally wrong and inefficient. We need policies that prioritize people.
There is no separate "green politics." Environmental and sustainable development principles must be integral to all decision-making. Combating climate change requires a holistic approach, with immediate investments in sustainable infrastructure, benefiting our future and inviting external collaboration.
Security is essential for a happy life. Our society needs both soft and hard security. Soft security involves creating an inclusive society where everyone feels safe, combating discrimination, and ensuring public knowledge on emergency responses. Hard security, the state's responsibility, involves maintaining defense and law enforcement. This should be handled by experts, not politicized.
Education is the foundation of society and a fundamental right. I am deeply worried about cuts threatening the prospects of our youth. Education must be equal and accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic background. Investing in education prepares future generations for challenges and democratic participation. We must support teachers with the necessary resources to provide quality education. Instead of cuts, we need investments to strengthen our educational system, which is crucial for our economic future.
The current zoning is artificial and discourages public transport use. Residents living in different zones face unfair pricing disparities. To encourage more use of public transport, we need to offer affordable and straightforward pricing for all residents.
Free contraception for under-25s should be provided as it reduces unwanted pregnancies and abortions, promotes sexual health, and supports young people's financial and educational stability. This improves their quality of life and shows societal support. Additionally, free contraception can lead to cost savings by reducing expensive abortions.
Quality education begins in kindergarden and continues throughout life. Espoo must invest in the entire educational pathway – from early childhood education to primary school, secondary education, higher education, and lifelong learning. This means providing high-quality, sufficient resources and individualized support at every stage of learning. At the same time, we must ensure that every resident of Espoo has the opportunity to develop their skills and stay engaged in the changing workforce, as education does not end with graduation.
